Protect and enhance your pavers with an inspection-led cleaning, joint sand and sealer plan.
Holiday is our home base, so paver sealing here is usually about protecting driveways, patios and pool decks from fast weed return, irrigation overspray and the Gulf-side humidity that breaks down joint sand. Most of the paver work we see here sits on smaller 1960s and 1970s lots in neighborhoods like Aloha Gardens and Tahitian Estates, where pavers were often added years after the home was built. That means more settling, more shade from mature trees and more joint-sand washout than in newer communities. Because our shop is on Louis Avenue, we can also work around weather windows day by day instead of locking a date weeks out.
Paver sealing is not a one-product job. We start by checking the paver material, age, exposed aggregate, porosity, existing sealer, joint condition and drainage. We splash water on the surface and watch how the color changes and how quickly it absorbs. That tells us whether the pavers are still protected, ready for maintenance, or need restoration before another coat goes down.
The sand and sealer plan depends on the surface. On a standard concrete paver project, we remove loose or contaminated joint material and install ASTM C144 joint sand in the color selected for the project. Polymeric sand is a separate option for unusually wide joints or sand-only scopes where it makes sense. For sealing, we match the product and coat system to the paver type, porosity, old coating and finish the homeowner wants. That may be a penetrating system, flood coats, a top coat, or a stone-specific product. We do not force one sealer onto every surface.
Home base for Krystal Klean Exterior. We live and work in Holiday, FL, our shop is on Louis Avenue and most of our team lives within ten miles. Most Holiday jobs get same-day or next-day scheduling.
For paver sealing, we check drainage, joint-sand loss, irrigation overspray, shade patterns, and whether the surface needs wet-look or natural-matte protection.
A lot of Holiday pavers were laid over older base work decades after the house went up, so we walk the surface for sunken runs and rocking pavers before anything gets sealed. Sealing over a settling section just locks the problem in.
Low-lying lots near Anclote River Park and the coastal side of 34691 hold ground moisture longer than inland Pasco. We give those surfaces a longer dry window after cleaning so trapped moisture does not blush the sealer white.
Because we are based on Louis Avenue, Holiday jobs get slotted around live rain radar rather than a fixed calendar. If a storm window closes, we can shift a seal day without pushing the job out weeks.
The best sealing windows in Holiday are spring and fall, when we can count on back-to-back dry days. From June through September, Gulf-side afternoon storms make cure windows tight, so we book those jobs for morning cleans and watch radar before committing sealer. If you want the surface protected before the summer algae push, late spring is the slot to grab.
