Paver stripping and restoration is the work that separates a real paver company from a pressure washing company. If your pavers turned white, cloudy, milky, slippery, patchy, or dull after a bad seal, another coat of sealer will not fix it. It usually traps the problem deeper. The right answer is a controlled restoration process: diagnose the failed coating, strip what needs to come off, clean the pores, correct the joint sand, and then reseal only when the surface is ready.
Common paver problems we restore: white haze from trapped moisture, over-applied topical sealer, old acrylic that has turned cloudy, weeds and ant mounds from failed joint sand, rust and oil staining, uneven sheen, flaking, peeling, faded color, and pool decks that became too slippery. Why bad paver sealing fails in Florida: humidity, afternoon rain, irrigation overspray, salt air, and intense UV all punish coatings. If pavers are sealed while damp, if the wrong sealer is used on travertine or natural stone, if old sealer is not compatible with the new product, or if too much product is applied, the finish can blush, peel, or turn white. When stripping is needed, we use surface-appropriate stripping agents and controlled pressure to remove failed coating without damaging the pavers.
We clean the surface, treat rust or oil where possible, rinse thoroughly, and give the pavers time to dry before the next phase.
Old loose sand, weeds, and gaps are corrected with fresh polymeric sand so the pavers are stable before sealing.
We reseal only when conditions are right, using the right product for concrete pavers, brick pavers, travertine, or natural stone.
